On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, UNDIP participated in the Joint Working Group (JWG) Indonesia-France at the Universitas Negeri Surabaya. During the event, UNDIP successfully attracted the attention of the leaders and officials attending. Among them were H.E. Fabien Penone, the French Ambassador to Indonesia; Laksamana Madya TNI (Purn.) Prof. Dr. Ir. Amarulla Octavian, ST., M.Sc., DESD., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., Deputy Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN); Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology; and Chaymaa Neddad, National Coordinator of Campus France Indonesia.
When H.E. Fabien Penone, the French Ambassador, passed by the UNDIP innovation product exhibition booth, he was intrigued by various displayed products. Among them were D’Biscu and MyoMES Type C, results of the UNDIP Kedaireka Matching Fund program.
In an effort to understand the workings of MyoMES, H.E. Fabien Penone discussed other interesting innovative products with drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., Director of Research, Innovation, and Industrial Cooperation at Diponegoro University. Concluding his visit, the French Ambassador expressed a desire to try D’Biscu and Cokrimun (Karimun Jawa Seaweed Chocolate).
Not only H.E. Fabien Penone but also ALaksamana Madya TNI (Purn.) Prof. Dr. Ir. Amarulla Octavian, ST., M.Sc., DESD., IPU., ASEAN.Eng., Deputy Head of BRIN, and Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, tried using the MyoMES Type C and learned about the functioning of the innovative bionic hand, a product innovation by Dr. Rifky Ismail, ST., MT.
Laksamana Madya TNI (Purn.) Prof. Dr. Ir. Amarulla Octavian, ST., M.Sc., DESD., IPU., ASEAN.Eng. also took an interest in the Vaccine Carrier Cooler Box, an innovation by Dr. Budiyono S.KM., M.Kes. During his visit, Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Ph.D., was impressed by UNDIP’s attention to the importance of implementing existing innovative products in society, both directly and in collaboration with industry partners.
Furthermore, the UNDIP Innovation Product Exhibition Booth was also visited by other participants, including those from France and other universities in Indonesia.
