The 2024 Rector Performance Assessment, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees: An Outstanding Achievement

UNDIP, Semarang, (30/1) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) conducted a Board of Trustees (MWA) meeting for the 2024 Rector Performance Assessment in the Board of Trustees’ Meeting Room. During the event, the Board of Trustees reviewed the Rector’s report and recognized it as an outstanding achievement.

This meeting is part of UNDIP’s annual evaluation process as stipulated in the university’s statute. It was attended by the leadership and members of the Board of Trustees, the Academic Senate leadership, the Chairman and Secretary of the Academic Senate Commission, the Rector, and Vice Rectors.

UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., began his presentation by expressing his joy over UNDIP’s achievement of 4th place nationally in the Webometrics January 2025 edition. He highlighted this as an extraordinary milestone, marking UNDIP’s highest-ever ranking in Webometrics. “I am deeply grateful for this remarkable achievement. It is truly a mood booster at the start of the year, motivating us to work even harder,” he said.

The Rector also shared another proud accomplishment. UNDIP received an award in the Performance Improvement category and ranked 134th in the QS World University Rankings Asia 2025 in Macau, China. This recognition reflects UNDIP’s consistent improvement in QS WUR indicators over the past five years.

Furthermore, he noted UNDIP’s achievements in the 2024 UI GreenMetric Ranking, where the university maintained its 2nd place national ranking for the fifth consecutive year. This remarks underscores UNDIP’s strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship on campus.

A key highlight of his report was UNDIP’s academic and student performance, with more than 50% of students graduating on time—a significant achievement in higher education.

In addition to the Rector’s performance report, the meeting featured presentations from the Board of Trustees and the Academic Senate, covering evaluations and accomplishments in their respective domains. The Board of Trustees focused on non-academic aspects, while the Academic Senate addressed academic matters.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, M.Si., Akt., Ph.D., officially acknowledged and commended the Rector’s outstanding performance. “Congratulations, Mr. Rector, on this exceptional achievement,” he stated.

Echoing this feeling, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Yusriyadi, S.H., M.S., also extended his congratulations, emphasizing the remarkable progress made despite the Rector’s tenure being only eight months.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees encouraged UNDIP to build upon its 2024 successes to achieve its ambitious goal of reaching the top 500 World Class Universities by 2025.

With these achievements, UNDIP remains optimistic about its continued growth as a world-class university dedicated to academic excellence and societal impact.
