Collaboration Between the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP and PT United Tractors Tbk: Planting 300 Rare Trees and Providing Feed for Timor Deer

Semarang, January 31, 2025 – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, has partnered with PT United Tractors Tbk in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aimed at environmental conservation. The program is being carried out through the planting of 300 rare fruit trees and the provision of feed for Timor deer.

The signing of the collaboration agreement marked the beginning of today’s activities. Present at the event were the Vice Rector IV of UNDIP, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, and other relevant university leaders. This event reflects the commitment of both the academic world and industry to preserve the environment and provide benefits to the community.

In his speech, Vice Rector IV of UNDIP, Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., expressed appreciation for the collaboration and hopes that this program will serve as a starting point for ongoing partnerships in conservation and sustainable agriculture.

“UNDIP ranks second nationally in the UI Greenmetric, meaning we are second in Indonesia in terms of maintaining campus sustainability. Today, we are carrying out one of the manifestations of a sustainable campus, which is planting trees and feeding deer. These activities are made possible by the collaboration between UNDIP and PT United Tractors Tbk. UNDIP indeed has a mission to always collaborate with many parties from the private sector, government, and civil society,” he added.

The Dean of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., mentioned that the collaboration between the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences and PT United Tractors Tbk is a highly beneficial partnership between universities and private companies for environmental sustainability. Furthermore, other collaborations in research and community service will be carried out together by the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences UNDIP and PT United Tractors Tbk.

Meanwhile, the SRCOM Manager from PT United Tractors Tbk emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting environmental sustainability through CSR programs that have a positive impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Through this initiative, UNDIP and PT United Tractors Tbk hope to inspire more parties to contribute to preserving nature and creating a more sustainable environment for future generations.
