The Diponegoro University Ranking Office in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank organized an International Webinar Series 2020. This series still focuses on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Webinars, the theme raised in this International Webinar will be “Future Education, Sustainable Cities and SDGs”. The speakers who attended this event were experts in their fields who came from various countries. The event will be opened with remarks from Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, SH., M.Hum. as Rector of Diponegoro University. The event then continued with the introduction from Dr. Bambang Susantono who served as Vice President of the Asian Development Bank.
There are four experts invited to be speakers in this International Webinar. The first speaker will be Dr. Brajesh Panth, Chief of Education Sector of ADB; wit the theme “The Future of Education in Asia and the Pacific”. The second speaker will be Dr. Wiwandari Handayani, Center of Urban and Regional Resilience Research (CURE) of Diponegoro University; with the theme “Critical Aspects for Achieving Goal 4 and 11 of SDGs in Indonesia”. And then it will proceed with a theme “Education for Gross National Happiness in Bhutan” which will be delivered by Dr. Kanokpan Lao-Araya, Country Director for Bhutan, ADB. The next theme of the discussion is “Towards Sustainable Cities: Bringing Planning and Education Closer” and will be discussed by Dr. Ashok Das from the University of Hawaii, USA. The moderator who will guide the event is Prof. Imam Buchori from Diponegoro University.
