The Ministry of Health issued a new regulation regarding the provision of booster vaccinations, especially for the elderly group (over 60 years of age). The results of the study showed that there was a decrease in antibodies 6 months after receiving a complete primary dose of COVID-19 vaccination, so that a follow-up or booster dose was needed to increase individual protection, especially in vulnerable groups of people.
Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., Hum. also participated in a booster vaccination at the Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), Diponegoro University, Friday (25/2).
“I just did a booster vaccination which aims to make us healthier and our immunity to be stronger. So don’t hesitate on booster vaccinations and ignore untrue stories about vaccinations, this booster is useful so that we are better prepared to deal with any type of Covid-19 attacks. For those who have received vaccine tickets, contact health facilities and do booster vaccinations, this vaccination is healthy for us,” he said.
Undip will also open a booster vaccination center as a form of support and assistance to the government as well as joint efforts in anticipating and protecting oneself during a pandemic, especially the transmission of the new variant of COVID-19. The Undip booster vaccination center is located at the Undip Central Laboratory and will be held on February 28 – March 4, 2022, for the registration process using SSO Undip and Victori.
