Farewell of Retired Civil Servants for the Period May-August 2024

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held a farewell ceremony on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, for civil servant lecturers and staff entering retirement between May and August 2024. The event took place in the UNDIP Rector’s Meeting Room. It was attended by 39 civil servants retiring due to the mandatory retirement age (Batas Usia Pensiun / BUP) and 5 representatives of the heirs of civil servants who retired due to death.

In his remarks, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed deep gratitude for the dedication and service provided by the civil servants during their tenure at UNDIP. The Rector also apologized for any shortcomings in service that may have been experienced during their time at the university. “We express our utmost gratitude for all your participation, and we look forward to your ideas and suggestions to further develop UNDIP in the future,” he stated.

The Rector also hoped that the retired civil servants would continue to contribute positively to society, which is in line with UNDIP’s principle of always benefiting the surrounding environment. He added that they could become ambassadors promoting the positive aspects of UNDIP as a dignified and competitive campus.

The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., expressed his gratitude to all the retired civil servants, both those retiring due to age and those retiring due to death. “We hope that the relationship with UNDIP will remain strong,” he said.

On behalf of the retired civil servants, Prof. Dr. dr. Anies, M.Kes., PKK., also shared his thoughts during the event. “We have traveled a long journey to reach this point. We are happy to have contributed to UNDIP all this time.” He expressed pride and joy in seeing the current development of lecturer and staff management at UNDIP.

Prof. Anies also expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him to continue contributing through teaching and examining students, although he felt his efforts still needed to be maximal. In closing, he apologized for any shortcomings during his service and hoped to continue contributing to his beloved alma mater.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the retired civil servants as a token of respect and appreciation for their services during their time at Diponegoro University.
