UNDIP, Semarang (1/4) – The Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again achieved a notable accomplishment at the global level. Three study programs have successfully obtained international accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board of Engineering Education (IABEE) in 2026.
The three study programs receiving international recognition are:
- Industrial Chemical Engineering Technology
- Automation Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Design Engineering
This accreditation covers several disciplines, including Chemical, Biochemical, Biomolecular Engineering Technology; Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering Technology; and Manufacturing Engineering Technology. The certification confirms that the curriculum, learning processes, and graduate outcomes meet internationally recognized standards.
The Dean of the UNDIP Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si., stated that this achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to delivering high-quality vocational education that is adaptive to technological advancements and aligned with global industry needs.
“This international accreditation is not only a recognition but also a mandate for us to improve the quality of vocational education continuously. We aim to ensure that UNDIP Vocational School graduates possess the competence, integrity, and professionalism required to compete globally,” Prof. Budiyono said.
Furthermore, IABEE accreditation—being part of the Washington Accord—provides strategic added value for graduates, enhancing international competitiveness and opening broader career opportunities across global industries.
This achievement also reinforces the UNDIP Vocational School’s efforts to realize its vision as a world-class vocational education institution by strengthening academic quality, fostering industry collaboration, and developing teaching factories aligned with current demands.
