UNDIP, Semarang (17/4) – The Agroecotechnology Study Program of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), conducted a site assessment as part of its international accreditation process by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) from April 13–17, 2026, in Semarang City. This activity is part of a quality assurance process based on international standards, which comprehensively evaluates the curriculum, learning processes, governance, and the program’s relevance to the job market.
During the assessment, ASIIN assembled an international panel of experts comprising Prof. Dr. Markus Frank, Prof. Dr. Mamadou Diakité, Prof. Dr. Thore Toews, Rara Diantari, and Dr. Gert Füllner, with Johann Jakob Winter, M.Sc., in attendance. The assessors conducted in-depth evaluations through direct discussions with lecturers, students, administrative staff, alumni, and industry partners to obtain a factual overview of the program’s management.

The Agroecotechnology Study Program at UNDIP is relatively young and currently holds an “Excellent” national accreditation status. In recent years, applicant interest has shown consistent growth, reflecting increasing public trust in the quality of education provided. Participation in ASIIN accreditation is part of an ongoing effort to maintain quality while expanding international recognition.
This initiative aligns with the program’s vision to become a leading center and reference for agroecotechnology in tropical regions by 2030. Strengthening national reputation and expanding international networks are expected to support the realization of this vision, enabling the program to contribute meaningfully to society, particularly in advancing agriculture as a strategic sector for national resilience.
Through this process, the Agroecotechnology Study Program continues to enhance learning quality, strengthen research capacity, and develop practical, relevant innovations that address real-world needs. The impact is expected to be felt not only by students through improved learning experiences but also by graduates through increased readiness and competitiveness in the workforce.

As part of the assessment, alumni and industry partners provided input on graduate relevance, including representatives from PT Bisi International Tbk. (Budi Santoso, S.P., M.Sc.), PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (Danang Ardiansyah, S.P.), PT Mutuagung Lestari (Dimas Panji Oktaviant, S.P., M.Si.), PT Agri Makmur Pertiwi (Raphael Gracio Suryanto, S.P.), and Metamorphz Group (Julian Christopher Limantara, S.P., M.Sc.). Their involvement is crucial in demonstrating alignment between educational processes and industry needs. The study program expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the assessment. The outcomes of this process are expected to serve as a foundation for continuous improvement in enhancing educational quality and contributing to sustainable agricultural development.
