The Rector Encourages Posbindu to Maintain the Health and Welfare of UNDIP Employees

Posbindu (Integrated Development Post) is a routine activity held by Undip as a form of commitment to support the welfare and health of staff. Held on Thursday (22/06), this event involved various health checks, education, and outreach activities carried out by a trained medical team and students of related study programs. The full support from the Undip Rector underlined the matter of this effort to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining public health and welfare.

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum, supports Posbindu, which Undip routinely holds. According to him, Posbindu is a concrete step in encouraging awareness of the importance of maintaining public health.

Posbindu is our real effort to improve the quality of life and health of employees at Undip. We hope that through this activity, employees will get the right information and attention regarding their health,” he said.

Posbindu focuses on participants from Rectorate Undip employees but also opens opportunities for faculties to submit requests for implementation in their environment. The main objective of Posbindu activities is to provide opportunities for employees to detect their health conditions early so that follow-up can be carried out, such as referrals to relevant laboratories or specialist doctors. The medical tests included checking weight, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and height. Even though medical personnel were accompanying this event, this medical test was more consultative and did not provide direct medical action.

The Head of the Undip Healthy Campus Team, Bina Kurniawan, S.KM., M.Kes., conveyed the development of Posbindu events from year to year, which, according to him, most Undip employees have normal health conditions. Through Posbindu, they are allowed to carry out detection early and proactive health care.

Posbindu at Undip plays a role in health checks and education about a healthy lifestyle. With the support of the Undip Rector, it is hoped that it will provide significant benefits for the health and welfare of the Undip community,” he said. (LW-Dehtisa/Public Relations)
