Alya Azkaa Adawya (Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine): UNDIP is Special; There Are Many Inspiring Figures Become Role Models

“One thing that makes Undip special is the people in it. During my four years in college, I met many inspirational figures for whom I became role models. I am grateful that my education at Undip has been my life’s most beautiful and valuable period. I believe Undip has changed me into a new person,” said Alya Azkaa Adawya, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine who was inaugurated at the 171st Diponegoro University graduation ceremony.

Alya participated in various off-campus activities, such as student organizations, namely ROHISKU and HIMA-KU. She also became a physiology teaching assistant, joined the digestive medicine Olympiad competition, volunteered as a medical team in Assyifa Medical Team (AMT), joined Basic Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMMD) of the Faculty of Medicine Undip, was part of Student Creativity Week (PKM), and Pemira Planning Teams. She also participated in the Bidikmisi program, so she has a myriad of achievements, including a Gold Medal in the Digestive Regional Medical Olympiad (RMO) (2022), a Silver Medal in the Digestive Indonesian Medical Olympiad (IMO) (2021), a Bronze Medal in the Digestive Indonesian Medical Olympiad (IMO) (2022), and a Finalist of the 2020 Multi-Center National Research Team (PMC).

“Making academics a priority is the main thing for a student. But it is necessary to have soft skills because adapting in the real world is no less important. The organization is one of the best choices for trial and error to hone soft skills before entering into the adult world, which is full of surprises,” said the graduate with a GPA of 3.58.

“Through student organizations, I get to know the best people passionate in their fields and achieve many opportunities I have never had before. At organizations, I found a new family to continue to grow together to become the best version. We must always work together to create a supportive and comfortable environment to share experiences and exchange ideas,” she concluded. (LW/Nadella – Public Relations)
