UNDIP Rector’s Message: Work Extraordinarily and Be a Role Model

The Rector of Diponegoro University (UNDIP), Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., officially inaugurated officials and appointed Non-Civil Servant Permanent Employees of Diponegoro University on Monday, September 2, 2024. The inauguration and appointment ceremony took place at the SA-MWA Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus, at 1:30 WIB. The Chair of the Academic Senate, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties and Schools, Heads of Bureau, guests, as well as the newly appointed officials and non-civil servant permanent employees, attended the event.

This inauguration was based on the Rector’s Decree Number: 48/UN7.A/KP/VIII/2024 to Number 57/UN7.A/KP/VIII/2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Vice Deans, Deputy Heads of Agencies, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and Secretaries of Study Programs within Diponegoro University, and the Rector’s Decree Number 32/UN7.A/KP/VIII/2024 to 43/UN7.A/KP/VIII/2024 concerning the Appointment of Non-Civil Servant Permanent Employees at Diponegoro University.

During the event, the Rector inaugurated the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, the Faculty of Psychology, and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. He also appointed the Deputy Head of the Planning and Development Agency, as well as the Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, and Secretaries of Study Programs at the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Public Health, and the Vocational School. Additionally, the Rector appointed 12 Non-Civil Servant Permanent Employees at Diponegoro University.

The oath of office was administered by the Rector of UNDIP, with the officials and permanent employees accompanied by clergies according to their respective beliefs. Subsequently, the Rector, accompanied by Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., and Dr. Warsito Kawedar, SE., M.Si., Ak., signed the minutes of the oath of office and the oath of non-civil servant permanent employees.

In his speech, Prof. Suharnomo expressed gratitude to the outgoing officials for their service to UNDIP and the achievements made during their tenure. The Rector urged the newly appointed officials to continue working hard to meet public expectations. “You were chosen extraordinarily. Public expectations are very high. Let’s make extraordinary efforts because extraordinary results do not come from ordinary efforts,” he said.

To the newly appointed Non-Civil Servant Permanent Employees, who are primarily lecturers, the Rector advised them to always care for the students. “Love our students. Be lecturers who can serve as role models for them,” UNDIP Rector emphasized. (Hng-Public Relations)
