Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially received the Foster Parent Movement Scholarship Program (Gerakan Orang Tua Asuh / GOTA) from PT Pamapersada Nusantara on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 8:00 AM. The event was held in the Rector’s Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Campus, Tembalang.
The event was attended by the Director of Academics, Student Affairs, and Alumni; the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau; the CSR Department Head and CSR Officer of PT Pamapersada Nusantara; representatives from the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences; the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, and the Vocational School; as well as scholarship recipients.
Prof. Dr.nat.tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T., Director of Academics, Student Affairs, and Alumni, warmly welcomed and appreciated the GOTA Scholarship Program. “We express our gratitude to PT Pamapersada Nusantara for their consistent support in providing scholarships to our students,” said Prof. Siswo.
According to Prof. Siswo, the GOTA Scholarship aligns with the vision of realizing the Golden Generation 2045. “We are preparing for the Golden Generation 2045 and aiming to be among the top eight global economies. Hence, these students must be well-trained and prepared, as UNDIP has been doing,” he explained.
“The hope is that with the support from PT Pamapersada Nusantara, students can enhance their learning quality, graduate on time, build their careers, and eventually become future leaders for us all,” he added.
Maidi Irvan, CSR Department Head of PT Pamapersada Nusantara, stated that the GOTA Scholarship is specifically designed for students with disabilities and economic challenges, providing educational support until they complete their D4/S1 degrees. “The GOTA Scholarship Program has been running for approximately four years. I hope this scholarship can motivate students to complete their studies on time and inspire them to contribute meaningfully,” said Maidi Irvan.
In addition to awarding the GOTA Scholarship, the event also featured a symbolic handover of a wheelchair donation from PT Pamapersada to UNDIP. UNDIP remains committed to supporting inclusive and equitable educational programs and services in Indonesia, regardless of limitations.
