UNDIP, Jakarta (August 28, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro took part in the Patriot Expedition Program, a strategic initiative launched by the Ministry of Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia. As part of the preparation, the Patriot Expedition 2025 Team attended a briefing session held Sunday–Monday, August 24–25, 2025, at Balai Kartini, Jakarta. The event featured Ministerial Lectures delivered by top government officials, including:
- Prof. Suahasil Nazara, Ph.D. – Deputy Minister of Finance
- Faisol Riza – Deputy Minister of Industry
- H. Ossy Dermawan, B.S., M.Sc. – Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Deputy Head of the National Land Agency
- Febrian Alphyanto Ruddyard – Deputy Minister of National Development Planning
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Amarulla Octavian, M.Sc. – Deputy Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency
- Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti – Head of Statistics Indonesia
- Director General of Village Government Development, Ministry of Home Affairs
- Ir. Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, M.M. – Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries
- Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara – Minister of Transmigration
- H. Yandri Susanto, S.Pt., M.Pd. – Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions
On this occasion, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., joined other university rectors in symbolically flagging off the teams alongside Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Minister of Transmigration Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, and other ministry leaders. A total of 57 UNDIP teams will join the expedition, consisting of 57 lecturers serving as team leaders and 228 active students and alumni.

Minister of Transmigration Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara said the briefing provided an essential platform for participants to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their mental readiness before being deployed to 13 target provinces.
The UNDIP Patriot Expedition team also performed a musical theater titled “Patriot Muda Harmoni Nusantara” at the Friendship Night, symbolizing students’ spirit of unity and creativity in promoting values of solidarity and service.
The briefing marked the first step for the UNDIP Patriot Expedition Team to apply their knowledge and skills in empowering communities and strengthening inclusive, sustainable regional development. The initiative also aligns with UNDIP’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
With this preparation, the UNDIP Patriot Expedition Team is expected to make a tangible contribution to sustainable development in transmigration areas, in line with the university’s vision: (Noble and Valuable UNDIP). (Public Communication/ UNDIP/ Patriot Expedition Team)
