UNDIP, Semarang (25/3) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held a Halal Bihalal gathering and staff fellowship event for employees at the central office on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Rectorate, Tembalang. This event was part of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebration series and served as a moment to strengthen relationships while delivering strategic directions to the entire academic community following the long holiday.
The event took place in a warm atmosphere, attended by university leaders, lecturers, and administrative staff from various units within the UNDIP central office.
In his remarks, the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., stated that Halal Bihalal is a meaningful tradition and an important part of strengthening relationships, especially in the workplace. “Traditions of friendship like this are very valuable and may be unique to Indonesia. In our daily interactions, things often don’t turn out as we intend, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Therefore, moments like this give us the opportunity to open our hearts, forgive one another, and rebuild togetherness,” he said.
The Rector also expressed appreciation for the support of the entire academic community toward UNDIP’s achievements. He shared encouraging news regarding international recognition through the QS World University Rankings.
“Today, there is information related to the QS World University Rankings. Hopefully, this information is accurate, and UNDIP will gain four additional internationally accredited study programs. This achievement is made possible thanks to the support of lecturers, administrative staff, students, and all elements of UNDIP,” he stated.
Furthermore, he encouraged all members of the UNDIP academic community to continue working with enthusiasm and to maintain harmony in the workplace. We can work at UNDIP with happiness, comfort, and blessings. We want to demonstrate that we can live side by side peacefully in a multicultural environment, and make these values of togetherness a model for others,” he added.
The event concluded with a handshaking session among leaders and participants as a symbol of mutual forgiveness. Through this Halal Bihalal gathering, it is hoped that the UNDIP academic community will further strengthen synergy, maintain unity, and enhance their spirit in carrying out duties and responsibilities, in line with efforts to realize UNDIP as a leading university with an international reputation.
