FPTVI 2019 on Undip, Produces 4 Important Recommendations

Undip Vocational School has successfully managed to hold the 6th congress of Vocational Higher Education Institutions of Indonesia (FPTVI) on Wednesday (6/11) in the Prof. Soedharto Building Undip Tembalang. This annual activity took the theme “Establishing Creative Innovation, Empowering Vocational Education” which was followed by members of the Indonesian Vocational Higher Education Forum (FPTVI) and vocational teachers throughout Indonesia. The congress has managed to produce 4 important recommendations that read by the Head of the FPTVI Supervisory Board Ir. Hotma Prawoto, MT accompanied by the Head of FPTVI Prof. Dr. Widi Hidayat, Vice Rector I Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Widarto and Secretary Prof. DR.Retna Apsari. The four recommendations include:

  1. Determined to become a reliable university that produces skilled, superior, dignified human resources and able to work for strategic innovation and research down-streaming achieved by collaborative cross-disciplinary research with the Business and Industrial World (DUDI), Academic Education circles (S1, S2, S3), Professional Education, Vocational Secondary Education and all Stakeholders collaborates for the actualization of an advanced Indonesia and increasing global reputation and competitiveness.
  2. Encourage the government to give more attention and to foster all vocational education providers.
  3. Encourage the government and industry in facilitating the creation of links and matches for maximum vocational education.
  4. In order to face the increasingly complex challenges of the nation, Vocational Higher Education in Universities / Institutes / Colleges / Polytechnics / Academies must be developed up to the level of Applied Undergraduate and Applied Postgraduate (Applied Master and Applied Doctoral) to increase Indonesia’s competitiveness, namely independence and Indonesia’s sovereignty in the fields of HR, technology and products.
