UNDIP Ranked 5th Nationally by Successfully Passing 37 Teams of Student Creativity Program in the 34th PIMNAS 2021

Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has made another achievement at the national level. This achievement was marked by successfully passing 37 teams of Student Creativity Program to the final stage of 34th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2021.

This is stated in Letter Number 2200/J3/KM.02.13/2021 regarding the Announcement and Invitation of the 34th PIMNAS 2021 Participants on September 28th 2021, which was signed by the Acting Officer of Head of the National Achievement Center, Asep Sukmayadi.

With 37 teams of Student Creativity Program, Diponegoro University is ranked 5th nationally based on the number of scientific titles that have successfully qualified for the final stage of 34th PIMNAS. This achievement is in line with the vision of Diponegoro University to become an excellent research university.

Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., expressed his gratitude to all parties and the entire Undip academic community for these achievements and in supporting Undip’s vision to become an excellent research university.

“This is a reflection of the quality of Undip students who are getting better, more creative, making achievements, having excellent competencies, and are highly competitive. I hope that Undip students can obtain the best results and be able to raise the great name of Diponegoro at the 34th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2021,” said Prof. Yos (30/9/2021).

This year, competition of Student Creativity Program is implemented in 5 types of fields, namely: Field of Exact Research or the Field of Social Humanities Research (PKM-RE or PKM-RSH); Field of Entrepreneurship (PKM-K); Field of Community Service (PKM-PM); Field of Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI); and Field of Creative Creation (PKM-KC). In addition, there are also 3 categories of ideas, namely: Constructive Futuristic Ideas (PKM-GFK), Written Ideas (PKM-GT), and Scientific Articles (PKM-AI).

Undip itself succeeded in passing 37 titles of Student Creativity Program consisting of 5 types of fields and 1 category of ideas. The details of Undip Teams of Student Creativity Program that passed the 34th PIMNAS based on the types of fields and categories are as follows:

Field of Social Humanities Research: 5 titles

Field of Exact Research: 12 titles

Field of Application of Science and Technology: 1 title

Field of Community Service: 9 titles

Field of Creative Creation: 2 titles

Field of Entrepreneurship: 7 titles

Constructive Futuristic Ideas: 1 title

Undip teams consist of students from various faculties at Diponegoro University. There are 17 teams from Faculty of Engineering; 4 teams from Faculty of Science and Mathematics; 4 teams from Faculty of Economics and Business; 3 teams from Faculty of Medicine; 3 teams from Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences; 2 teams from Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences; 1 team from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences; 1 team from Faculty of Public Health; 1 team from Faculty of Psychology; and 1 team from Faculty of Humanities.

As previously known, the Ministry of Education and Culture through the National Achievement Center will hold the 34th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) 2021 in collaboration with the University of North Sumatra as the host of 34th PIMNAS.

34th PIMNAS events are a series of activities from the implementation of Student Creativity Program that have been carried out online. It has passed the stage of Implementation of Student Creativity Program Activity Assessment (PKP2) 2021. The selected teams of Student Creativity Program then will be included in 34th PIMNAS.

In general, there are 735 titles of Student Creativity Program that have passed to compete at the 34th PIMNAS. The competition will be held online on October 25th-29th 2021 using Zoom meeting platform and live streaming on the USU Official Youtube channel.
