Diponegoro University (Undip) through the Diponegoro Disaster Assistance Response Team (D-DART) was present to help the victims of the earthquake disaster in Cianjur. D-DART is the Undip Disaster Task Force which consists of lecturers, students and also educational staff with both medical and non-medical backgrounds. The management of D-DART is under the coordination of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), especially the Community Service Sector led by Prof. Dr. Rahayu, S.H., M.Hum. In terms of disaster response in Cianjur, D-DART has sent a Surveillance Team to the incident location which will also be dispatched into several teams during the Disaster Cycle phase. The first team consisting of lecturers and students departed from the ICT LPPM Undip Building on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 15.00 WIB.
“This Surveillance Team is tasked with coordinating with the local Disaster Team that is already present in the disaster site. Later, the needs for the next team can be determined so that the assistance we provide is right on function, needs and goals. Over the next few weeks, there will be another team sent from Undip. This team consists of health and non-health workers from various backgrounds. We will also involve students including existing volunteers,” said dr. Achmad Zulfa Juniarto, M.Si.Med, MMR, Sp.And.(K), Ph.D., as General Chair of D-DART.
The Surveillance Team Coordinator who has been dispatched is Dr. Susilo Adi Widyanto, S.T., M.T. who is a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering. The team departed in two fleets carrying logistics and basic needs after the disaster. The students who are also members of the Surveillance Team are Muhammad Fahmi Ilham Septiananda, Andre Pawa Christian Depari and Nanda Ilham Amin.
