Rector of Diponegoro University (Undip) Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., officially inaugurated officials at Undip in the Official Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 08.00 WIB in the Hall of the SA-MWA Building, Undip Tembalang Campus. This activity was also attended by the Chair of the Academic Senate, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties/Schools, invited guests, and inaugurated Undip officials.
The inauguration was based on the Decree (SK) of the Rector of Diponegoro University Number: 7/UN7.A/KP/XII/2022 to Number: 14/UN7.A/KP/XII/2022 concerning Appointment of Heads of Institutions, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Programs, Secretaries of Study Programs, and Heads of Sections at Diponegoro University.
As many as 11 (eleven) Undip officials who were appointed would occupy several positions, including Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Head of the Department of Medicine (FK), Head of the Master Study Program of Biomedical Science (FK), Head of the Doctoral Study Program of Animal Science (FPP), and Secretary of the Doctoral Study Program of Information Systems (Postgraduate School).
Then the positions of Head of the Master Study Program of Public Health (FKM), Secretary of the Master Study Program of Public Health (FKM), Head of the Biostatistics and Population Section (FKM), Head of Health Administration and Policy Section (FKM), Head of the Library Science Study Program (FIB), and Secretary of the Library Science Study Program (FIB).
The Oath of Office was led by the Undip Rector accompanied by clergy according to the beliefs of each official. Furthermore, the signing of the Minutes of the Employee Oath by the Undip Rector and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T. and Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU. as witnesses.
Starting his remarks, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. congratulated Undip officials who have been appointed and sworn in. “I congratulate the officials who have been appointed to their respective positions. Thank you to the prior officials who have carried out their duties and have maintained the great name of Diponegoro University.” he said.
Prof. Yos advised every official within Undip to continue to maintain the good name and reputation of Undip. “Undip is ours. We want Undip to be great and prosperous but it depends on ourselves. Maintain Undip’s great name so that people continue to believe in us. Believing that Undip is capable of educating children to become smart, capable, civilized and moral children. This is where the role of all of us is needed.” explained Prof. Yos.
Prof. Yos also reminded officials to continue to maintain a sense of tolerance that has been going well at Undip. “Everything must be proportional and not discriminatory. Maintain tolerance as always.” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Yos hoped that officials who have been appointed and sworn in will continue to improve their performance because Undip will continue to evaluate officials within Undip. “Improve performance and work, and be orderly in using the budget, not just spending the budget. In addition, be a good role model, work seriously, have integrity, and obey the rules. We will conduct an evaluation of officials, if their performance does not meet expectations, they must resign or draw themselves back.” he concluded.
