Semarang – Central Java (12/11). The Tanoto Student Research Award (TSRA) is a program initiated by the Tanoto Foundation as a contribution in developing individual potential, building a strong generation of future Indonesian leaders, improving the quality of education and improving people’s lives. TSRA 2022 was held in collaboration with the Bandung Institute of Technology in the form of an Interdisciplinary Capstone Design Challenge (ICDC) activity.
Pranata Candra Perdana Putra, Undergraduate Student of the Department of Capture Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Class of 2019, is one of the representatives of the 25 selected students who have been selected from several stages. TSRA 2022 is a student innovation competition to offer real solutions for society in an increasingly challenging and rapidly changing world. Activities are carried out in the form of multidisciplinary collaboration, namely TSRA 2022 participants from various backgrounds from various disciplines working together in creating innovative community solutions.
All TSRA 2022 participants form teams whose members consist of students from different tertiary institutions, different study programs and faculties, covering a combination of the fields of science, technology, arts, social and humanities. TSRA 2022 was attended by 5 Tanoto Foundation partners namely Diponegoro University, Brawijaya University, IPB University, Bandung Institute of Technology and University of Indonesia with a total of 125 delegates.
GALAKSI (Gagasan Laksana Idea) as an educational tool in the science of astronomy connected to an electronic system in the form of the Internet of Things (IoT) which can be used as a teaching tool for elementary-junior-high school children in understanding the science of the solar system, delivering one of the Diponegoro University delegation won Gold Medals in the Interdisciplinary Capstone Design Challenge at the 2022 Tanoto Students Research Award, (6/11/2022). Pranata is proud of this achievement because he was able to continue his achievements after winning the Silver Medals at the Indonesia Inventors Day (IID) event a few weeks earlier which was held at Udaya University, Bali.
The achievements achieved by Pranata cannot be separated from the support of parents, lecturers in the Department of Capture Fisheries and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Undip. It is great hope that Pranata’s achievements can be an initial stepping stone to be at the forefront of various things. Pranata also believes that wherever we learn to develop skills, especially in the field of research, it is widely open for those who want to do it. Pranata said that he dedicated this achievement to his department, Capture Fisheries, for its dedication in guiding him for the past 3 years.
