UNDIP Released Inbound Student of Independent Student Exchange Program 2 in 2022

Diponegoro University (Undip) officially released inbound students for the Independent Student Exchange 2 (PMM 2) program on Monday December 19, 2022 at 14.00 WIB at the Prof. Soedarto, S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang campus. This event was also attended by Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Deans of Faculties and Schools, Director of the Academic Directorate of Student and Alumni Affairs, invited guests, and PMM 2 Undip students.

In his report, Coordinator of PMM 2 Undip, Dr. Aris Ismanto S.Si., M.Si. said Undip had accepted 181 students (inbound) from various universities outside Java. While Undip has also sent 22 Undip students (outbound) to 12 private and state universities in Indonesia.

“We received 181 inbound students from various universities from outside Java, and from Undip we also sent 22 outbound students, of which some of the Undip students have returned to Semarang.” explained Dr. Aris.

Dr. Aris added that the 181 Inbound students will return to their areas of origin starting from December 21 to December 28, 2022. “We as the coordinators thank the participants for choosing Diponegoro University (Undip) and we apologize if if the implementation of the Independent Student Exchange 2 (PMM 2) has many shortcomings.” he said.

The 181 inbound students were spread across several faculties at Undip, including 23 people at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), 27 people at the Faculty of Law (FH), 11 people at the Faculty of Humanities (FIB), 25 people at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), 12 people at the Faculty of Medicine (FK), 25 people at the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), 18 people at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), 9 people at the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences (FPP), 8 people at the Faculty of Psychology, 18 people at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), and 5 people at the Faculty of Engineering (FT).

Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. in his remarks revealed that the Independent Student Exchange 2 (PMM 2) program was one of the mechanisms of the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program carried out by universities within the guidance of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

“Hopefully students will gain meaningful knowledge from this activity. It is also hoped that it can inspire and motivate them to continue their studies to a higher level.” said Prof. Faisal.

The Independent Student Exchange Program is a student exchange program for one semester from one regional cluster to another that provides a diversity experience.

The Independent Student Exchange 2 (PMM 2) program has provided benefits for students in exploring and studying the diversity of the Nusantara, being able to meet and communicate with students from various regions and strengthening or expanding academic competence.

Independent Student Exchange 2 (PMM 2) activities are outlined in the Nusantara Module which is a series of activities to provide a comprehensive understanding of diversity, nationalism and love for the motherland which includes four types of activities namely diversity, inspiration, reflection, and social contribution.

“On behalf of the leaders, I apologize if there are things that are not pleasing during the implementation of PMM 2. Thank you for choosing Undip to be the place to study the Nusantara Module. At the same time it is also a motivation for us to continue to improve the management and service of the PMM 2 program. Hopefully all the knowledge received at Undip can be useful.” concluded Prof. Faisal.
