Diponegoro University International Office (IO Undip) is again holding socialization to prepare Undip students to take part in the 2023 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program. The socialization was held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the 4th floor, Hall Building C, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Undip. The 3rd Round of 2023 IISMA Preparation “IISMA 2023: a Bridge to a Bright Future” invited speaker Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. (Head of IO Undip), Syauqi Aqil Mukaarim (2022 IISMA Awardee Undip for Middle East Technical University, Turkey), and Gita Ayudhia Fitriani (2022 IISMAeVo Awardee Undip for City of Glasgow College, UK). The discussion session was led by Diastama Anggita Ramadhan, S.H., LLM as Deputy Head of IO Undip.

Opening this event, Anggun Puspitarini Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. stated that the aim of the 2023 IISMA program is to form future leaders, where students will be equipped with abilities and soft skills through different experiences in foreign countries. “During the process, don’t forget to continue to communicate with study programs, faculties, and universities through the International Office. Don’t prepare documents and register at the last moment because the preparation required is quite long,” Anggun ordered.

Syauqi Aqil Mukaarim shared his experience while continuing his studies in Turkey. Document preparation includes academic transcripts, certificates of proficiency in English, self-declaration statements, and letters of recommendation. “There are many things that may be different from our expectations, but it will be an unforgettable experience,” said Syauqi.

Gita Ayudhia Fitriani also shared her interesting experience while studying in England. There she has many interesting stories from his interactions with many people. Gita said that at first she faced obstacles since the English language spoken had a slightly different accent and was spoken quickly, but soon she was able to adapt to it. “I didn’t think that traveling with IISMA would bring me to meet so many good and memorable people,” said Gita.

Diastama Anggita Ramadhan, S.H., LLM at the end of the event advised Undip students who will participate in 2023 IISMA to prepare as well as possible. “Be flexible because during the registration process and lectures abroad there will be many challenges,” Diastama said. (Titis – Public Relations)
