Diponegoro University – Semarang (10/3). Diponegoro University in the near future will launch lectures for the Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Nursing Science study programs in the Undip campus area in Jepara. It is planned that the Rector of Undip will inaugurate it on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
The Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Nursing Science study programs at the Teluk Awur Campus are parallel classes of study programs on the Undip Tembalang campus which have been open since the Academic Year of 2021/2022. During the pandemic, lectures ran online to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus. With the issuance of Minister of Home Affairs Instruction Number 53 of 2022 regarding the Repeal of PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions), lectures can be held offline.
“The two study programs in the Teluk Awur area have accredited A (excellent) and are supported by teaching lecturers who have doctoral degrees,” explained Prof. Faisal who serves as Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Undip. Prof Faisal added that the purpose of opening the Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Nursing Science study programs was to accommodate graduates from Jepara and its surroundings, so there was no need to go far to study at the Undip Tembalang campus in Semarang. The quality of education provided and the teaching staff are no different from the Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Nursing Science study programs at the Tembalang campus.
“The existence of these two study programs is also very helpful in meeting the needs of local governments in Jepara and its surroundings for medical personnel, especially nurses and graduates of the Faculty of Law to work in the government and law offices,” added Prof. Faisal.
The planned lecture launching event will be attended by the Rector of Undip and his staff, Chair of the Academic Senate (SA), Chair of the Board of Trustees (MWA) and their staff. The committee also invited regional officials from Jepara and their staff.
To further introduce the Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Nursing Science study programs at the Teluk Awur campus in Jepara, Diponegoro University will hold competitions including photography and vlog competitions with the theme Exploring the Teluk Awur Campus Jepara; fishing competitions; and a bike tour of the ponds.
