Thursday, July 6, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering held a “Budget Synchronization and Achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)” workshop at the Aruss Hotel, Semarang. The leaders of the Faculty of Engineering, Heads of Departments, the Faculty of Engineering Ranking Team, the Finance and Regulatory Data Administrative Team, SIIKU Operators, and PUMK from each department in the Faculty of Engineering Undip attended this event.
The workshop event consists of two main parts. The main part is the evaluation of KPI achievement results in the second quarter of 2023 and the preparation of action plans, and the second part is the preparation of the evaluation results in the form of a Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP). SAKIP is important because it is related to achieving good performance accountability and the quality assurance and absorption of appropriate budgets so that achieving university targets, as reflected in the Key Performance Indicators, can be performed optimally.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Ir. M. Agung Wibowo, M.M, M.Sc, Ph.D. revealed the Faculty of Engineering requires special training regarding the preparation of SAKIP because this is one of the points disclosed in the ZI-WBBM evaluation by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Internal Assessment Team last May. According to him, one of the notes revealed by the assessment team at that time was the absence of SAKIP as a document that supports performance accountability in institutions such as the Faculty of Engineering. “When we were internally audited by the Ministry of Education and Culture yesterday, one of the questions was, have we all studied SAKIP? And it turns out that we have never received training on SAKIP.”
“With this note, he hopes there will be training related to budget synchronization and KPI achievements, with one of the agendas being this SAKIP training. It is expected that governance at the Faculty of Engineering can lead to a better direction and achieve the targets set. Hopefully, with this training, we can manage the governance of the Faculty of Engineering to Go Global, Go Good Governance,” he said.
In this workshop, the Faculty of Engineering invited two speakers from the Planning and Development Agency (BPP) Undip as the main speakers. The first guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA, Head of BPP Undip, explained the understanding of KPI, both the KPI Strategic Plan and KPI of PTNBH. Meanwhile, the second resource person, Slamet Purwanto, S.Si, Manager of BPP Undip, explained SAKIP and how to compile it. Apart from presenting the material, this workshop also contained the preparation of a follow-up plan (action plan) as a follow-up form of KPI achievement.
Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr.nat.tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T. hopes that with this workshop, the Faculty of Engineering can manage budgeting optimally according to the target. Still, it can also improve the management of the Faculty of Engineering so that it can achieve ZI-WBBM. “Often the question arises, has our budget fully contributed to fulfilling KPI? Thus we held this workshop. Besides that, with this workshop, hopefully, we can enter the next stage (ZI-WBBM),” he said.
