Diponegoro University successfully held the 2023 Diponegoro University Students’ Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQM). The event with the theme “Earthing the Al-Qur’an, Building Civilization” was held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 08.30 WIB at the Hall of Dekanat of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Undip Tembalang Campus.
The Rector of Undip, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Deputy Deans for Academic and Student Affairs of Faculties and Schools, Academic Director for Student and Alumni Affairs, Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, all leaders within Undip, the 2023 Undip MTQM Board of Judges, and Undip MTQM 2023 participants were present at the event.
Representing the Rector of Undip, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Faisal, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D. officially opened the 2023 MTQM Undip event. In his speech, Prof. Faisal stated that the 2023 MTQM Undip activity aimed to foster love and enthusiasm for students and the community to continue studying and understanding the Al-Qur’an as a guide and guide for human life.
“The 2023 MTQM Undip activity is not only treated as a ceremonial routine activity but can be a strategic momentum in coloring development and people’s behavior in daily life based on the values of the Qur’an,” said Prof. Faisal.
Apart from that, the 2023 MTQM Undip activity is also the selection of Undip’s best delegates who will represent Undip at the XVII 2023 National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an event which will be held at Brawijaya University, Malang, on November 3-10, 2023. “Hopefully, the 2023 MTQM Undip delegation got the best achievement in MTQM at the national level,” said Prof. Faisal.
In his report, PIC of the 2023 MTQM Undip Nur Fauzan Ahmad S.S., M.A. explained that the 2023 MTQM Undip activity was attended by 215 people divided into 151 teams. The 2023 MTQM Undip activity includes competitions in 18 musabaqah branches, including Men’s and Women’s Tilawatil Qur’an; Men’s and Women’s Tartil Al-Qur’an; Hifzhil Qur’an 10 Juz for men and women; Hifzhil Qur’an 20 juz for men and women; Hifzhil Qur’an 30 juz for men and women; Fahmil Qur’an; Al-Qur’an Scientific Writing; Khattil Qur’an in the Decorative and Contemporary category; Musabaqah Maulid Nabi; Debate on the Content of the Arabic Qur’an; Debate on the Content of the English Al-Qur’an; Syarhil Qur’an; and Qiraah Sab’ah.
The 2023 MTQM Undip activity is one of the preparations made by Undip to welcome the 2023 National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an XVII, which will be held at Brawijaya University, Malang, on November 3-10, 2023. Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an is an event held every two years by the Ministry of Education and Culture to develop student talent in the field of Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an.
