FISIP UNDIP Held a Debriefing Forum for Heads of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, held a Debriefing Forum for Heads of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme “The Role of Indonesian Representatives in Indonesian Economic Diplomacy” Friday (20/10) in the Theater Room, Building C, FISIP UNDIP, Tembalang.

In his remarks, the Head of the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency, Dr. Yayan Ganda Hayat Mulyana, said that the Debriefing Forum is a forum for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesian Representatives to convey public accountability for Indonesian representatives who have completed their term of service as Indonesian representatives. Through this forum, the public obtains direct information regarding the implementation of the Indonesian government’s vision and mission, achievements, obstacles faced, and directions and strategies that need to be developed in the future.

“Today’s activity is expected to gather suggestions and input from the public in improving the quality of implementation of bilateral and multilateral relations. “This activity was also held to enrich the development of perspectives and strengthen policy recommendations by paying attention to developments at the local level and policy-oriented studies at various universities,” Dr. Yayan Ganda said.

On this occasion, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. said that Indonesia does not exist alone on the map of the earth. Various countries are interconnected with Indonesia, including friendly countries or countries that still need to have diplomatic relations with Indonesia.

“As friends and in harmony, of course, there is a need for strategic policies in Indonesia’s relations with foreign parties. This ability is really needed for the quality of Undip alumni products, especially those related to the field of Indonesian Relations. This position needs to be utilized by FISIP to develop its alumni and students so that they have sufficient abilities to face problems in international relations. “Hopefully, this event will be useful for all parties related to these problems,” explained Prof. Yos.

Present as a resource person at this event was the Irjen. Pol (Purn). Dr. (HC) Drs. H. M. Amhar Azeth, S.H. M.M.
