Every year, January 25 is celebrated as National Nutrition Day. National Nutrition Day is celebrated as a momentum to increase awareness of nutrition among the Indonesian people in the country. The Ministry of Health sets a different theme and slogan every year. This year, the theme is “MPASI Rich in Animal Protein Prevents Stunting,” with the slogan “Quality MP-ASI for the Golden Generation.”
RSND (Diponegoro National Hospital), together with the Clinical Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Undip, participated in commemorating National Nutrition Day 2024 by holding an outreach event and a cooking demonstration of MP-ASI Rich in Animal Protein to prevent stunting. This event was held in the Hall on the 2nd floor of the Puskesmas Rowosari.
“The role of female cadres is significant in educating the community about stunting prevention. Today, we are very grateful for the presence of 30 female cadres representing various sub-districts around the Puskesmas Rowosari. “Because today’s event is also part of the continuation of the stunting prevention program in Rowosari as an area supported by RSND,” said dr. Etisa Adi Murbawani, M.Si., Sp.GK (K) as chairman of the committee in her speech.
As the primary resource person, dr. Enny Probosari, M.Si., Sp.GK (K) provided material with the title “MP-ASI Rich in Animal Protein Prevents Stunting.” Dr. Enny explained ways to prevent stunting and how to make MP-ASI rich in animal protein, which can prevent stunting. “If your child’s weight does not increase, immediately see a doctor at the health center,” she concluded.
This activity also featured a cooking demonstration that aimed to provide practical insight to cadre mothers at the community health center regarding how to cook MP-ASI foods that are high in animal protein to prevent stunting. The menu displayed in the cooking demonstration was chawan mushi and banana pudding.
