Carrying the spirit towards Diponegoro University (UNDIP) as a World Class University (WCU), the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UNDIP inaugurated its newest campus facilities on Monday (22/04). The inauguration of these facilities marks an essential milestone in the journey towards this shared goal.
The event was attended by the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum.; the Chair and Secretary of the Academic Senate; the Secretary of the Board of Trustees; Vice Rectors; Deans and Vice Deans; as well as Professors and Administrators of Departments and Study Programs within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UNDIP.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UNDIP, Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin., in his report stated, “The dream that was not realized at that time was to create a connected, integrated campus characterized by students/guests parking from the front to the back, all accessible by students, staff, and disabled friends.”
The Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of details in the effort to make UNDIP a World-Class University (WCU). “This WCU does not only focus on infrastructure but also its international-class spirit, one indicator of which is a comfortable and prosperous environment. I pray that in striving towards this WCU, it will not only be world-class in its facilities but also its welfare,” concluded Prof. Yos.
The inauguration of these ten new campus facilities, including the ‘Join Us, FISIP Undip World Class Faculty’ Gate; Koi Fish Aquarium; Photobooth FISIP UNDIP World Class Faculty; Panoramic Lifts; Difable Pro Porch; Paris Van FISIP ACA; FISIP Aviary; PKM Student Co-Working Space; PKM Student Meeting Room; and Meeting Room, is our commitment to enhancing the learning experience and welfare of our lecturers, students, and staff within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UNDIP. These facilities are designed to cater to their needs and create a more conducive academic environment.
The inauguration concluded with the signing by the Rector and Dean of FISIP UNDIP, followed by campus leaders and guests jointly inspecting the newly inaugurated facilities, which are spread throughout the campus environment of FISIP UNDIP Tembalang. The event was also enlivened by various artistic performances, including song performances by the FISIP UNDIP Student Choir and Sakutala, adding vibrancy to the inauguration activities aimed at realizing UNDIP as a World Class Campus.
This inauguration is not just a celebration but a tangible manifestation of FISIP UNDIP’s unwavering commitment to creating an integrated, innovative, and internationally standardized academic environment.
