Sartika Dewi, the Outstanding Alumni of the Faculty of Public Health UNDIP, A Figure with Achievement and Inspiration

Sartika Dewi Pratiwi, a graduate of the Faculty of Public Health at Universitas Diponegoro, emerged as an inspirational figure during the 176th UNDIP Graduation Ceremony. Graduating with honors (Cum Laude) from the Health Administration and Policy program, Sartika achieved an impressive GPA of 3.96 within a study period of 4 years and 12 days. Her achievements reflect her perseverance and dedication in balancing education, organizational involvement, and community service.

As a recipient of the Wonogiri Regency Outstanding Student Award Program from 2021–2023, Sartika utilized the scholarship to enhance her academic and non-academic potential. Entering UNDIP through the independent examination path in 2020, Sartika embarked on her studies with a focus on productive activities.

During her time on campus, Sartika actively served as the Head of the Public Relations Division of the AKK Forum at the Faculty of Public Health UNDIP in 2023, participated in committees, and became one of the best coordinators for subdistrict development groups in the Wonogiri Regency Outstanding Student Association. She was also involved in the 2021 Village Development Program held by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Public Health UNDIP in Banyumeneng Village, particularly in the field of community economic empowerment.

Through the Wonogiri Regency Outstanding Student Association, Sartika engaged in various social activities, including supporting Posyandu (integrated health posts), conducting stunting prevention campaigns, empowering MSMEs, and educating youth on the importance of higher education. She firmly believes that knowledge acquired in college must benefit the broader community.

In addition to her non-academic pursuits, Sartika excelled academically. She completed competency certification training on human resource management at the Faculty of Public Health UNDIP and contributed policy articles to the LPM Manunggal Tabloid. Her 2023 article discussed the pros and cons of relocating UNDIP student primary healthcare facilities.

Sartika also gained professional experience through internships, both independently at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and academically at Dr. Kariadi General Hospital, focusing on law, organization, and public relations. These activities provided her with practical insights into the professional world and expanded her networking opportunities.

According to Sartika, education and organizational involvement must go hand in hand. “Academic and non-academic activities are crucial boosters for developing soft skills essential for applying knowledge. The younger generation is not only measured by numerical intelligence but also by their moral, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual qualities,” she stated.

With her achievements and contributions, Sartika Dewi Pratiwi serves as an inspiration for young people to develop themselves and make a positive impact on society. (DHW)
