Yuliya, a Graduate of the Faculty of Law UNDIP and an Expert in the Field of Research and Debate

UNDIP, Semarang (February 6) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) once again presented its outstanding graduates during the 177th Graduation Ceremony. One of this year’s distinguished graduates is Yuliya Firdausilhawa, a Faculty of Law graduate who earned cum laude honors with a GPA of 3.90. Upon completing her studies at UNDIP, Yuliya has already secured an associate position at PwC Legal Indonesia.

Yuliya firmly believes that education and organizational experience are valuable investments that open many doors for the future. “Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it also trains critical thinking, problem-solving, and wise decision-making. However, education alone is not enough. Organizational experience shapes leadership, teamwork, and readiness for both the professional world and society,” said Yuliya, who was admitted to UNDIP through the SBMPTN (now SNBT) track in 2020.

Throughout her university years, Yuliya excelled academically while actively participating in various organizations and national competitions.

Yuliya played an active role in numerous student organizations, particularly in the field of research and debate. She was a member of the Research and Debate Group (UKM-F KRD) of the Faculty of Law from 2021 to 2023, experiencing several leadership roles:

  1. Treasurer of the Business Law Division (2021)
  2. Deputy Head of the Business Law Division (2022)
  3. Head of the Business Law Division (2023)

Additionally, she was a part of Indonesia’s New Generation Community (GenBI) at UNDIP, having received the Bank Indonesia Regular Scholarship in 2022 and 2023.

Beyond student organizations, Yuliya also participated in event committees, such as:

  2. Head of Competition Division – The 8th NBLC Summit 2022
  3. Chairperson of the Election Commission (KPPR) for the 2022 UNDIP Faculty of Law Student Election (Pemira FH UNDIP)

In addition to her leadership roles, Yuliya competed in and won several prestigious national legal competitions, including:

  1. 1st Place – National Legal Opinion Competition (LOC) – Faculty of Law, Universitas Padjadjaran (June 2024)
  2. 1st Place & Best Memo – National Legal Opinion Competition – Ubaya Law Fair (May 2024)

  5. 1st Place – National Legal Opinion Competition – UII Law Fair Mohammad Natsir V Cup (March 2022)

Yuliya emphasized the importance of thorough research and expert consultation when preparing for competitions. Leading up to the final rounds, she dedicated time to intensive preparation, including drafting presentations, simulating Q&A sessions, and mastering case materials to ensure her team’s readiness to face the judges’ inquiries.

“To all UNDIP students currently pursuing their education, don’t hesitate to be active in organizations and engage in positive activities,” Yuliya advised after her 177th Graduation Ceremony at the Muladi Dome, UNDIP Multipurpose Building (GSG), Tembalang Campus. (DHW)
