UNDIP, Semarang (April 25) – The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., officially inaugurated five newly appointed officials within the university on Friday, April 25, 2025. The solemn ceremony took place at the SA-MWA Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus, starting at 9:00 AM. The Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties and Schools, invited guests, and the newly appointed officials attended this event.
The appointments were based on the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro’s Decrees No. 203/UN7.A/KP/III/2025, 205/UN7/A/KP/III/2025, 41/UN7.A/KP/III/2025, and 56-57/UN7.A/KP/IV/2025 concerning the appointment of the Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering; Head of the Department of Accounting and Secretary of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business; Secretary of the Pediatric Specialist Program, Faculty of Medicine, and the Head of the Center for Promotion and Publication of Research and Community Service Results, Institute for Research and Community Service UNDIP.
The oath of office was administered directly by the Rector, accompanied by religious leaders. The signing of the official oath document was witnessed by Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, S.T., M.T.
In his speech, UNDIP Rector Prof. Suharnomo explained that there are four categories of employees: superkeepers, keepers, solid citizens, and misfits. A superkeeper is an employee with exceptional performance, while a keeper exceeds expectations. Solid citizens are average performers, and misfits are those who have not met the organization’s performance standards.
The Rector emphasized the importance of superkeepers in the workplace. These individuals not only demonstrate excellent performance but also inspire their colleagues. “Why do we need more people who can be inspirators? Because most employees fall into the solid citizen category. That’s why we need more change agents or champions. The more champions emerge, the greater the drive for others to become champions, too,” he explained.
He also encouraged the newly appointed officials to work harder to achieve UNDIP’s future strategic goals. “I believe that those of you who have been inaugurated today and entrusted with greater responsibilities see this moment as a starting point to contribute more than ever before,” he said.
“There are so many people placing their hopes in us. Let’s not disappoint them and carry out this trust to the best of our abilities,” concluded Prof. Suharnomo.
This inauguration marks an essential step for Universitas Diponegoro in its ongoing efforts to grow and improve in quality. It is hoped that the newly appointed officials will help lead UNDIP toward even greater achievements. (Hng – Media Relations)
