IKA FISIP UNDIP Management 2025–2030 Inaugurated, Affirms Commitment to Alma Mater and Nation

UNDIP, Jakarta (May 24, 2025) The Alumni Association (IKA) Board of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) for the 2025–2030 period was officially inaugurated. The event, held in Jakarta on Saturday, May 24, 2025, also marked the first National Working Meeting (Rakernas) under the theme “Collaboration and Contribution of FISIP UNDIP Alumni for the Alma Mater and National Advancement,” highlighting the alumni’s role in supporting national development.

The inauguration was attended by several national figures, including Abdul Kadir Karding, Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the IKA FISIP UNDIP, and Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), a national figure and former Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI). University leaders also joined the event, including Wijayanto, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., UNDIP Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, and Collaborations; Dr. Drs. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol.Admin, Dean of FISIP UNDIP; S. Rouli Manalu, Ph.D., Vice Dean I of FISIP; and Ika Riswanti Putranti, Ph.D., Vice Dean II of FISIP, along with department and study program heads within FISIP UNDIP.

Yogi Arief Nugraha, the newly elected Chairman of IKA FISIP UNDIP, stated that the new board—primarily made up of younger alumni—would bring a fresh perspective in addressing the demographic bonus. “We must demonstrate that the demographic bonus, where the productive population outnumbers the non-productive, can truly contribute to nation-building,” he said.

“There’s a lot we can do. We can engage with a wide range of issues to help the government solve key challenges, such as in education, healthcare, and anti-corruption—areas that are currently pressing for our country,” he added.

Yogi also emphasized that collaboration among university alumni across Indonesia would strengthen contributions toward national progress. “If we can unite all university alumni across Indonesia, there’s little reason to worry about the country’s future,” he asserted.

The event also served as a momentum for UNDIP to enhance its alumni network in support of strategic university programs, particularly in seizing the demographic opportunity for sustainable progress. (Public Communication/FISIP/Rif’at)
