UNDIP, Singapore (June 5, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, SE, M.Si., attended the QS World EduData Summit 2025 held in Singapore from June 4–5, 2025. This year’s summit, themed “Connecting EduData: Aligning Data Science, Skills, and Innovation,” brought together global university leaders, edudata experts, and education industry partners.
UNDIP Rector Prof. Suharnomo was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiyanto, S.T., M.Sc., IPU, UNDIP Director of Reputation, Partnerships, and Global Connectivity, as well as Deputy Director of Global Reputation, Dessy Ariyanti, ST., MT., Ph.D. Their participation reflects UNDIP’s commitment to strengthening its international ranking strategy.
On the sidelines of the event, the UNDIP delegation held a strategic meeting with the team from QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the organization behind the QS World University Rankings (WUR). QS commended UNDIP for its significant progress in global ranking performance. In the short term, the university will focus on improving its subject-level rankings and increasing both the quantity and quality of citations in international publications as part of its efforts to achieve a QS Top 500 ranking.
“This forum provided valuable strategic insights into the role of data in higher education policymaking. We will maximize collaborative opportunities with QS and other global partners to support UNDIP’s roadmap to enter the QS WUR’s Top 500,” said Prof. Suharnomo.
Through its active participation in the QS EduData Summit 2025, UNDIP is also exploring strategic collaboration opportunities to strengthen its use of data and analytics in institutional development. The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange on how data can be leveraged to support research strategies, institutional planning, and the creation of more effective global partnerships and collaborations.
The QS EduData Summit has become a key forum for connecting data science, skills development, and innovation in global higher education.
