Diponegoro University held its 66th anniversary ceremony at the Prof. Soedarto, S.H. building, Undip Tembalang campus, Sunday (15/10). Undip’s 66th Anniversary Celebration carried the theme of “Synergy and Acceleration of Undip towards a Golden Indonesia 2045”.
In his speech, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum. said that Undip must carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education, Research and Community Service. The three pillars of Tri Dharma of Higher Education are carried out by Diponegoro University in accordance with applicable regulations, consistently, programmed and measurable based on performance indicators. The performance indicators that Undip must achieve come from Undip’s Strategic Plan indicators (60 indicators), Key Performance Indicators of PTNBH (8 indicators), as well as other indicators from various higher education rankings that Undip participates in, such as QS, THE, and GreenMetric. These multiple indicators also reflect the indicators of research universities and World-Class Universities.
“Undip upholds the moral values of the Indonesian nation based on Pancasila within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The implementation of Indonesia’s noble values is supported by Undip’s policy, which firmly opposes and rejects various forms of radicalism, including racism and discrimination. The fact that Undip students come from various ethnicities, religions, races and groups is a reflection of a conducive campus. “It needs to be reiterated that Undip will always stand at the forefront in maintaining the unity of the Indonesian nation, protecting the Republic of Indonesia and the great name of the Indonesian nation in the international world and also accelerating the government’s efforts to achieve a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he explained.
“Undip’s great name is currently also supported by the services of educational staff to students, lecturers and other stakeholders, as well as research results and lecturer innovations,” continued the Rector.
Meanwhile, in his oration entitled “Law Enforcement Based on Pancasila: Sociological Perspective on the Actualization of Pancasila Values in the Judicial Process,” Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H.M. Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H. emphasized the importance of law enforcement based on Pancasila values. The judicial process must protect parties who are victims of actions that could degrade their honor and dignity.
Prof. Syarifuddin highlighted the implementation of Pancasila values in the law enforcement process. According to him, the values of Pancasila must be actualized in the judicial process in order to create true justice.
“Every stage in the judicial process carried out by judges actually reflects the posture of Pancasila. Each stage in the judicial process contains principles from each of the Pacasila principles, namely the Principles of Divinity, the Principles of Humanity, the Principles of Indonesian Unity, the Principles of People’s Consultation and the Principles of Social Justice. “All these principles form a unified whole and mutually reinforce each other in the entire law enforcement process in court,” he concluded.
