Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum was appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) for the 2024-2029 period at the Official Inauguration Ceremony and Taking the Oath of Office. The event was led by Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., on Monday (15/1) at the Prof. Sudarto S.H. Building, Undip Tembalang Campus.
The inauguration is based on the Decree (SK) of the Rector of Diponegoro University Number: 32/UN7.A/KP/I/2024 to Number: 81/UN7.A/KP/I/2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Vice Rectors, Deans, Heads of Institutions, Heads of Departments, Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs, and Supervisors within Diponegoro University.
In his speech, the Undip Rector’s message was conveyed to the newly appointed Dean to continue the achievements that had been achieved during the leadership of the previous official. Apart from that, he also gave the mandate to be serious in his work and always have compassion for the entire Undip academic community.
As reported on the FIB Undip website, there was a Farewell and Welcome event for the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S, M.Hum. from Dr. Nurhayati, M.Hum. who is the Dean of FIB Undip for the 2019-2024 Period (16/1). In his speech, he invited the entire FIB Academic Community to take an active role and provide support to carry out his mandate as Dean of FIB for the 2024-2029 period. “Hopefully, we can continue the achievements and work of the previous Dean, Dr. Nurhayati, M.Hum. in order to make FIB Undip better and more advanced,” he said.
Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum. is a Professor with expertise in Socio-Economic History. He served as Deputy Dean IV for Innovation Research at FIB (2016-2019), Senate’s Secretary of the Faculty of Humanities Undip (2017-2019), Member of the Undip Academic Senate (2020-2025); and finally received the trust as Deputy Dean I for Academic and Student Affairs (2019-2024).
Prof. Dr. Alamsyah, S.S., M.Hum. has obtained a Doctorate from Padjadjaran University (2008-2012). Previously, he completed postgraduate education with a Master in Humanities (M.Hum.) at Gadjah Mada University in 2001-2004 and a Bachelor of Literature (S.S.) in 1991-1996 at Diponegoro University.
