Students from Community Service (KKN) Team II of Diponegoro University (Undip) for the academic year 2022/2023 have held an exhibition showcasing the results of innovations and work programs conducted during their community service activities in Klaten Regency. These works were presented and exhibited on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Beji Village Hall, Pedan District, Klaten Regency.
The event was attended by the Vice Chairman of Research Affairs at Undip’s Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Vice Academic Director of Undip, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Undip, the Head of Undip’s Center for Community Service Program (P2KKN), the Secretary of Undip’s P2KKN, as well as several local government officials including Village Chiefs, Subdistrict Heads, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappedalitbang), and supervising lecturers from KKN Team II of Undip in the academic year 2022/2023 in Klaten Regency.
In his address, the Vice Chairman of Research Affairs at LPPM Undip, Prof. Dr. Agus Subagio, S.Si., M.Si., expressed that innovation and programs suitable for the current era’s development and community needs are required. “These are the programs we will highlight. We will consistently carry out KKN and adapt it to the needs of the surrounding community. I express my gratitude to all parties for their attention and the community for warmly welcoming these students,” said Prof. Agus.
Representing the Regent of Klaten, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency of Klaten Regency, Pandu Wirabangsa, S.H., M.Eng., appreciated the KKN activities held in Klaten Regency. “We express our highest gratitude and appreciation to the entire Undip campus for their commitment, enabling us to witness today’s vibrant exhibition involving various components of society. We hope that this cooperation will continue. I believe there are many good stories behind this success,” said Pandu.
“With collaboration between the Local Government, University, Village Government, Subdistrict Government, and the community, it will greatly contribute to the surrounding community,” Pandu added.
At the same time, the Subdistrict Head of Pedan, Marjana, S.IP., M.H., appreciated the KKN students of Team II of Undip in the academic year 2022/2023 for their innovations that can be beneficial for the development of potentials in Klaten Regency.
The event proceeded with presentations of flagship programs and innovative products from each village in Klaten Regency. It was followed by reviewing the flagship program results from each town exhibited at respective booths representing each village in each subdistrict.
The theme was “Building Villages Together to Realize Indonesia’s Potential.” The event was attended by 673 students across six subdistricts: Juwiring, Wonosari, Karangdowo, Cawas, Pedan, and Ceper. The KKN activities of Team II of Undip in the academic year 2022/2023 involved 6,158 students conducting KKN in 54 subdistricts across 11 regencies in Central Java Province, one of which was Klaten Regency.
