UNDIP – A proud achievement was achieved by Guntur Awaludin Saptadi, a student of Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Diponegoro, who has brought international recognition to UNDIP. He won the Best Presenter Award at the 11th International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics, and its Applications (IC3INA) 2024, held on October 9–10, 2024, at the Kawasan Sains dan Teknologi (KST) Samaun Samadikun in BRIN Bandung.
The IC3INA 2024, organized by the National Research and Innovation Agency (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional / BRIN), is an international-level competition attended by 176 participants ranging from undergraduate to doctoral researchers from various countries. The event aims to explore the relationships between informatics, predictive analytics, and computing while fostering synergy among these fields to drive innovation in different industrial sectors.
Guntur’s success is attributed to the full support, guidance, and mentorship of his lecturer, Enda Wista Sinuraya, S.T., M.T. Close collaboration with his academic advisor and support from his peers at the Department of Electrical Engineering UNDIP also played a crucial role in his achievement.
To prepare for this prestigious competition, Guntur focused not only on his research but also on perfecting his presentation. He practiced repeatedly, validated his research data, and honed his scientific communication skills to deliver a clear and engaging presentation to an international audience of researchers.
“I meticulously prepared every detail, from the content to the delivery, to ensure that the message of my research could be effectively conveyed,” Guntur stated.
With confidence, he presented his research paper titled “Design of Smart Microgrid as an Integration of Electrical Systems with Android Application.”
Through this research, Guntur showcased an innovative solution for energy integration systems using an Android application, enabling the optimization of electricity management within a microgrid.
Guntur hopes that his achievement will inspire other UNDIP students to continue innovating and to be bold in participating on the international stage. “This achievement is not just for me but also for the Faculty of Engineering and UNDIP. I hope more UNDIP students will participate in international competitions in the future,” Guntur expressed.
“I aspire to encourage UNDIP students to excel in academics and research, further proving that the innovations of the nation’s youth can compete globally,” he concluded optimistically. (Guntur; ed. DHW – Public Relations)
