UNDIP, Semarang (July 17, 2025) – In an effort to foster a healthy lifestyle and promote early disease detection on campus, Universitas Diponegoro, through the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment Unit (UPT K3L), held a Free Health Screening (Cek Kesehatan Gratis / CKG) for staff at the Widya Puraya Rectorate. The event was a joint promotive and preventive collaboration with the Semarang City Health Office and Puskesmas Bulusan.
Held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at The Gade Creative Lounge (TGCL) on the first floor of the UPT Library and UNDIP Press Building in Tembalang Campus, the screening attracted 110 participants. Attendees received comprehensive health checks, including blood pressure (BP) measurements, height and weight measurements, abdominal circumference measurements, random blood sugar (RBS) tests, and electrocardiogram (ECG) exams.
A total of 15 health professionals from the Semarang City Health Office, Puskesmas Bulusan, and UNDIP’s UPT K3L were deployed to ensure the screenings were conducted safely and comfortably.
This initiative is part of UNDIP’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy, productive, and sustainable work environment—supporting a culture of wellness and aligning with national health programs.
Bayu Prasetyo, S.Kom., M.M., Head Supervisor of UNDIP’s UPT K3L Administration, stated that the program represents a concrete step by the university to promote a healthy and productive workplace. “We want to show that health awareness starts with the institution. This health screening is not just a medical service—it’s a form of appreciation for the dedicated staff,” he said.
He added that the goal of the CKG program is to encourage all members of the UNDIP academic community to be more aware of their health. “Early detection is a crucial step in maintaining quality of life,” Bayu emphasized.
The CKG program aligns with a national initiative by the Indonesian Ministry of Health encouraging citizens to routinely monitor their health—especially during birthdays or personal reflection moments—while also supporting the National Movement for a Healthy Lifestyle (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat / GERMAS).
By organizing this screening, Universitas Diponegoro hopes to continue being an institution that excels not only in academics but also in its care for the overall well-being of its community. (Public Communication/ UNDIP/ DHW & Zaila)
