UNDIP Trusted by Jawa Tengah, Wins Three Awards at the 2025 Satria Brand Award

UNDIP, Semarang (November 8, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) has once again proven itself as a university trusted by the people of Jawa Tengah, winning three awards at the prestigious 13th Satria Brand Award (SBA) 2025, organized by Suara Merdeka Daily at Padma Hotel Semarang on Friday (November 7, 2025). The victory was based on a credible survey conducted by the Suara Merdeka research team, which involved respondents across 35 regencies and cities in Jawa Tengah.

The event was attended by Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono, representatives of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Jawa Tengah, mayors from across the province, and prominent public figures who also received awards in various categories. Kukrit Suryo Wicaksono, CEO of Suara Merdeka Network Semarang, was present to personally hand over the prizes to several winners.

In this event, UNDIP took home three awards in the Satria Edukasia Award category, received directly by Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, Ph.D., on behalf of UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.

The three awards received by UNDIP were:

  1. Top Brand in the Innovative Campus Category
  2. Top Brand in the Best Academic Reputation Category
  3. Top Brand in the Cultural Diversity Category

Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his delight over this achievement, emphasizing that the recognition aligns with UNDIP’s vision to become a world-class university that is noble and valuable.

“These three awards demonstrate that UNDIP’s reputation has earned the trust of the public in the academic field, and our research has successfully produced leading innovations that benefit society at large,” said Prof. Suharnomo.

He further emphasized that UNDIP will continue to strengthen its collaboration networks with industry, government, and communities to ensure that the university’s innovations deliver a meaningful impact.

“We want every innovation from UNDIP to serve as a solution for society—from small-scale communities to larger systems. This movement embodies our spirit of Noble and Valuable UNDIP,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication, Wijayanto, Ph.D., expressed pride in receiving three awards from Suara Merdeka, which he recognized as one of the best media institutions in Jawa Tengah.

“The award for innovation aligns with UNDIP’s core spirit—where research is not just a requirement for promotion but must also serve humanity and society. Many UNDIP research projects have already been applied in communities, such as drinking water desalination systems that have benefited residents in Pekalongan, Brebes, Demak, Jepara, and Blora,” said Wijayanto.

He added that UNDIP’s academic recognition is also reflected in its rising global and regional rankings—UNDIP’s QS World University Ranking continues to climb toward the world’s top 500. In Asia, UNDIP recently rose to rank 106, an improvement from its previous rank of 134 in 2024.

Cultural diversity, according to him, reflects UNDIP’s strong spirit of inclusivity, as the university currently hosts students from various provinces across Indonesia.

“Diversity is strength. UNDIP is not only an academically excellent university but also a shared home for students from different backgrounds,” he concluded.
