UNDIP, Jakarta (December 1, 2025) – The Alumni Association of Universitas Diponegoro (IKA UNDIP) once again reaffirmed its prominence as one of the strongest forces in inter-university alumni tennis in Indonesia. At the 2025 Inter-University Alumni Tennis Tournament held on November 29–30, 2025, in Jakarta, IKA UNDIP successfully claimed the championship title after delivering solid performances from the preliminary rounds through to the final.
Consistent Since the Preliminary Round
Drawn into Pool D alongside KAGAMA (UGM), ILUNI UNP, and IKA UNJA, IKA UNDIP performed impressively and emerged as the winner of Pool D. In the main round, UNDIP eliminated its opponents in the quarterfinals and semifinals before advancing to the final to face KAGAMA UGM. In the championship match, IKA UNDIP once again demonstrated its resilience, securing a 3–1 victory.
UNDIP’s Achievements Since 2014
IKA UNDIP has actively participated in the Inter-University Alumni Tennis Tournament since 2014. Throughout its participation, IKA UNDIP has collected a total of 8 national championship titles, achieved in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021 (cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic), 2022, and 2025. This record of achievements highlights UNDIP’s consistency as one of the most successful alumni tennis teams in Indonesia.
The Chairperson of IKA UNDIP, Abdul Karding, expressed his appreciation for the team’s hard work.
“Alhamdulillah, this victory is the result of the hard work and unity of all alumni. The players showed extraordinary spirit. Thank you to everyone who supported us. This achievement proves that togetherness always brings us the best results,” he said.
The Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., also conveyed his pride. “This achievement is truly remarkable. IKA UNDIP is not only strong in academic and professional contributions, but also demonstrates outstanding quality in sports. May this victory inspire all members of the UNDIP academic community to continue excelling and to uphold the good name of our alma mater,” he stated.
The Chairperson of the UNDIP Alumni Tennis Community (KTAU), Yudi Yumos, also gave an essential remark regarding this achievement.
“UNDIP has returned to its rightful path—the tradition of champions. After going without a title in 2023 (quarterfinals) and 2024 (finalist), 2025 proves that UNDIP remains a major team that consistently competes at the top level. This championship is an important momentum to preserve the tradition of victory.”
The Inter-University Alumni Tennis Tournament is a regular event participated in by various university alumni organizations across Indonesia. Beyond being a competition, the tournament also strengthens networks and friendships among alumni nationwide.
