Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) officially sent off 10 (ten) teams from the Student Creativity Program (PKM) contingent to compete in the 38th National Student Scientific Week (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional / PIMNAS) 2025, which will be held at Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas). The send-off ceremony took place on Friday, November 21, 2025, in the BAK Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor of the SA-MWA Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus.
The Director of Student Affairs and Alumni of UNDIP, Edy Surahmad, S.Pd., M.Si., stated in his report that the contingent consists of 10 teams, totaling 45 students and 10 supervising lecturers. “At 2:00 PM, the teams will depart for the airport and are expected to arrive in Makassar at around 5:00 PM. We ask for everyone’s prayers so that the entire journey and competition may run smoothly,” he said. He also expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for their full support in preparing the contingent.
Meanwhile, the PIC of the UNDIP PKM team, Susatyo Nugroho Widyo Pramono, S.T., M.M., delivered a motivational message while emphasizing the importance of personal readiness. “Your greatest opponent in this competition is yourselves. The preparation has been extensive; now it’s time to show your best. You don’t have to be champions, but give the best version of yourselves,” he encouraged the contingent members.
In his remarks, the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for UNDIP students’ achievements throughout 2025. “This year, UNDIP has reaped many achievements in various national competitions. This positive vibe is expected to carry over to PIMNAS. You don’t have to win, but you must perform your best. If you have already given your best effort, hopefully it will be followed by the best result,” said the Rector.
The Rector also motivated self-confidence and mental readiness for the delegates facing the 38th PIMNAS. “Don’t be too burdened by the target of winning. The goal should be to perform your best, not necessarily to win. The best performance usually appears when you are not under pressure. Remember, nothing is impossible—what exists is ‘I’m possible’,” he added.
The 10 UNDIP PKM teams that qualified for the 38th PIMNAS in 2025 consist of several categories, namely: 5 titles in PKM Research (PKMRE), 1 title in PKM Creative Works (PKMKC), 3 titles in PKM Entrepreneurship (PKMK), and 1 title in PKM Written Futuristic Ideas (PKMGFT).
With thorough preparation and full support from the university, UNDIP is optimistic that its contingent will perform at its best and bring the best results for the alma mater. Participation in PIMNAS reflects UNDIP’s commitment to producing students who are innovative, adaptive, and competitive at the national level. (Public Communication/UNDIP/Hng)
