Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science is arranging an International Tropical Summer Course (ITroSCo) for international students on July 29th-August 7th 2019. Opening ceremony was carried out today (July 30th) and Vice Rector for Communication and Business officially opened the program with student inauguration marked by putting on the attribute of Undip cap to the students. This activity besides to enhance the number of international student it also introduce students from partner universities to learn coastal ecological preservation and to learn about coastal biota in Semarang and Karimunjawa islands.
This program also aims to learn Indonesian traditional culture such as batik and the Dutch and Chinese cultural heritage that helped to shape Semarang city. This year there are 15 participants from 6 countries: USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Sweden dan Japan
