Undip Strengthens Collaboration with Universities in Taiwan

Diponegoro University once again held an educational exhibition. This time Undip hava managed to collaborate with universities in Taiwan. The exhibition was held at the ICT Building Tembalang Undip on Tuesday (5/11).

Taiwan Higher Education Fair 2019 is supported by LP2MP of Diponegoro University. The purpose of this activity is for the Indonesian people to get to know Taiwan especially in the field of education. There are 15 universities from Taiwan participating in this educational exhibition activity. The education exhibition was attended by Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs Budi Setiyono, S. Sos., M.Pol.Admin., Ph.D., Secretary of LP2MP Dr. Ir. Setia Budi Sasongko, DEA, representative from university in Taiwan Prof. Yinghuei Chen from Asia University.

The Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs Budi Setiyono said, “We are proud that Diponegoro University can collaborate to hold an edufair activities like this as a means to dig up more information about higher education in Taiwan and the necessary procedures, as well as to understand the available opportunities such as scholarships and student exchanges program.”

Yinghuei Chen, Director of the Center for Development of Language Teaching & Research, a representative of one University in Taiwan, Asia University said that the reason of why choosing Taiwan as a place of study one of which is that Taiwan’s cost of living is far more cheaper than other countries and Taiwan is also a safe country with low criminal rates. This is Undip’s real step towards becoming a global university.
