Diponegoro University held a Teaching Alumni event with the theme “Inspiration from Successful Alumni in Building Business” at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Undip, (11/18).
The event was attended by alumni who have been successful in their respective fields, including Ir. Yoedhyono the director of PT Tugu Beton Semesta Abadi, dr. Dyah Anggraeni, M. Kes., SpPk the main director of the Cito Clinical Laboratory, and Ir. Bayu Rama Djati the owner of PT Nikipeni Abadi and Nikipeni Hydro Energy.
Ir. Yoedhyono shared his experience, if anyone wants to be an entrepreneur, we will be guaranteed to lose time and money. But at the same times we also gain new opportunities and experiences. “There is always risks and benefits, dare to start first because we do not know whether it will fail or succeed,” he said.
In line with Ir. Yoedhyono, Ir. Bayu Rama Djati said that to start a business, having to make targets and focus is the strength. “To become an entrepreneur, you have to be total and don’t be half-hearted, if prospective entrepreneurs did not have enough fortune to start, don’t be discouraged, don’t be afraid to start a business,” he explained.
Dr. Dyah Anggraeni revealed “I was originally not an entrepreneur but wanted to try, it’s okay to not jump into being entrepreneur right away. Try to learn the system first”.
Director of Communication and Alumni Relations of Diponegoro University, Drs. Mujid F. Amin, M.Pd., hoped that this activity could become a forum for alumni to motivate their younger siblings in improving their welfare, especially in the idea of opening job vacancies. (Rosi, Lisa-Hum)
