UNDIP Awarded as Entrepreneurial Marketing Campus for IMPACT 2025 by MarkPlus Institute for Sustainable Entrepreneurship Commitment

UNDIP, Semarang (August 6, 2025) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) once again demonstrated its strength as a high-impact higher education institution. At the 2025 Semarang Marketing Festival, held at Santika Premiere Hotel on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, UNDIP received the prestigious “Entrepreneurial Marketing Campus for IMPACT 2025″ award.

MarkPlus Institute presented the award in recognition of UNDIP’s success in applying the core values of Entrepreneurial Marketing—Creativity, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership (CI-EL)—while delivering tangible impact to society.

UNDIP’s selection followed a rigorous evaluation by MarkPlus Institute, which deemed it one of the universities most consistently integrating sustainable entrepreneurship and marketing principles in both academic activities and community engagement initiatives.

The award was presented on the second day of the festival, themed “Corporate Day: Sustainable Marketing in the AI Era.” It was accepted on behalf of the UNDIP Rector by drh. Dian Wahyu Harjanti, Ph.D., Director of Innovation, Downstreaming, and Collaboration at UNDIP.

drh. Dian expressed her pride and gratitude for the recognition. “This award is a testament to UNDIP’s commitment to building sustainable innovations that make a real difference—not only in academia but also in social and economic spheres,” she said. “We continue to promote cross-sector collaboration and instill entrepreneurial spirit early among our students.”

“In the face of technological advancements and global challenges, we believe that an innovative entrepreneurial approach rooted in local values is the key to producing graduates who are not only academically excellent but also adaptive, creative, and capable of addressing real-world problems with impactful solutions,” she added.

Echoing this sentiment, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., stated that the award reflects UNDIP’s dedication to building an entrepreneurial ecosystem that is adaptive, creative, and impactful. “In this era of disruption, universities must produce graduates who are not just academically proficient but also innovative and solution-oriented through entrepreneurship grounded in local values and global insight,” he said.

The Semarang Marketing Festival is part of the broader Indonesia Marketing Festival (IMF), organized by MarkPlus Institute across seven major cities in Indonesia. This year, the IMF is transforming with a more inclusive and impactful format, aiming to bridge the business, industry, government, practitioner, professional, and academic sectors in tackling marketing challenges in the digital and AI era.

With this recognition, UNDIP solidifies its role as a higher education institution that not only excels academically but also makes significant contributions to sustainable development through entrepreneurial marketing, offering innovative solutions to the broader community.
