UNDIP Welcomes 2,220 Students of KKN UNDIP Team I

A total of 2,220 Students of Community Service Team I Diponegoro University year 2020 were withdrawn from the KKN location. The re-admission ceremony of KKN students was held at the Widya Puraya Undip Field, Tembalang, Wednesday (8/21). The event was attended by the Rector, Prof. Yos Johan Utama, Vice Rector, Deans of Undip, Head of LPPM, KKN Lecturer, and students that participates in 2020 Team I KKN.

Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum congratulated KKN Undip Team I students who have been given health and safety up until today’s withdrawal ceremony. The Rector also hopes that with the completion of the Community Service Program, students may swiftly able to finish their study period and may implement their scientific programs to help solving problems in the community.

Undip Head of the LPPM Undip Study Service Center (P2KKN), Fahmi Arifan, ST, M.Eng, said that the activity of Team I KKN in 2020 was held for 44 days, starting from January 2 to February 15, 2020. The area covered by Team KKN Undip were in 12 district areas, namely Rembang, Jepara, Pati, Grobogan, Semarang, Tegal, Batang, Pekalongan, Demak, Blora and Pemalang.

“The Community Service program focuses on programs related to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Regarding the results of Community Service Team I that have been exhibited at EXPO, some of the products that have been produced by students includes verticulture and toga garden, a soap with basic ingredients of coffee, village video profiles, manufacturing training of organic fertilizers, and a designing of water purification equipment utilizing active carbon, “he said.

Some awards were given by Undip to the best KKN lecturer and student teams with categories as follows:

  1. The best student teams with the order of 1, 2, 3; Pulosari sub-district team of Pemalang Regency, Pamotan sub-district team of Rembang Regency, Sumowono sub-district team of Semarang.
  2. The best KKN lecturer team includes from Pulosari, Pamotan, and Sumowono.
