SEMARANG – Chairman of Central Leadership Council of Undip Alumni Association (Dewan Pimpinan Pusat Ikatan Alumni Undip / DPP IKA) for the 2017-2022 period, Akhmad Muqowam, expressed his proud feeling with the results achieved by Diponegoro University (UNDIP) in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022. The results of the latest survey on campuses with best graduates showed that UNDIP occupied the first position among higher education Indonesia, while in the previous survey Undip was in the third position.
The proud feeling conveyed by Muqowam on behalf of Undip alumni was not without reason. He reminded that employability was analyzed by the existence and quality of alumni in the world of work. “Because of that, of course, we as alumni are also very proud. It should be noted that one of the indicators in IKPN is employability. This also includes the important role of alumni,” said Akhmad Muqowam, on Saturday (25/9/2021).
According to him, a few months ago, UNDIP’s employability ranking was in third position among universities in Indonesia. This time, its ranking rises to 1st place. He emphasized that this achievement is the result of the collaborative collective work of all Undip stakeholders including alumni.
This achievement also indicates that lecturers, curriculum and students provide maximum performance in responding to the world of work, especially in the field of alumni service. “So this is a collaborative collective result. Bravo Undip, Bravo Undip Alumni Association, Bravo Undip Alumni,” shouted this figure who has been active in politics for a long time.

To measure employer reputation, QS uses data from nearly 75,000 responses to a survey conducted by QS Employer Survey. This study is the largest survey in the world related to the readiness of university alumni to face the challenges of the world of work.
Regarding alumni outcomes, QS analyzes 40,000 outstanding people around the world in the categories of the most innovative, creative, financially capable, successful entrepreneurs and philanthropists to find out which universities produce figures with these characteristics. QS also assesses the universities’ abilities to work with quality companies.
At the global level, the top ten positions with highest score are occupied by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (100); Stanford University (99.3); University of California Los Angles (99.1); University of Sydney (98.1); Harvard University (97.7); Tsinghua University (96.9); University of Oxford (96, 7); The University of Melbourne (94.5); Cornell University (94.4); and the University of Hong Kong (94.2).

Prof. Yos Johan’s popular remarks is that before the rooster crows, Undip graduates have found job.
