Strengthening Research, UNDIP Collaborated with RSUP Dr. Kariadi and Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen

Diponegoro University (Undip) held a collaboration with RSUP Dr. Kariadi and Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, The Netherlands on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 13.30 WIB online via the Zoom meeting platform. The collaboration between the three institutions which aims to strengthen research and education, especially in the medical field, was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).

Undip was represented by the Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M. Hum. and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Undip, Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M.Kes., Sp.S(K)., RSUP Dr. Kariadi was represented by the President Director of RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Drg. Farichah Hanum, M.Kes., and President of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, D.J. Pouwels represents Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, The Netherlands.

The event was attended by the Undip Rector, the Chair of the Academic Senate, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Vice Rectors, the Dean of Faculties/Schools, the President Director of the Diponegoro National Hospital (RSND), all levels of leaders in the Undip environment, the President Director of RSUP Dr. Kariadi and his staff, President and Dean of the School of Nursing of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, The Netherlands.

This collaboration includes collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, clinical instructors and students in conducting research, symposia, and other academic activities such as student exchange. The results of research by the three institutions will later be implemented in social life in accordance with the contents of the agreement. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., President Director of RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Drg. Farichah Hanum, M.Kes., and President of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, D.J. Pouwels are valid for 5 years.

The event continued with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Undip, Prof. Dr. dr. Dwi Pudjonarko, M.Kes., Sp.S(K)., President Director of RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Drg. Farichah Hanum, M.Kes., and President of Hanze University of Applied Sciences, D.J. Pouwels.

In his speech, Undip Rector, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M. Hum. said that this collaboration was established with the aim of improving the quality of education at Undip. “Thank you for the collaboration with RSUP Dr. Kariadi and Hanze University of Applied Sciences. It is hoped that this collaboration will run smoothly and we can all produce many useful research products,” said Prof. Yos.

Drg. Farichah Hanum, M.Kes as the President Director of RSUP Dr. Kariadi revealed that this collaboration focuses on research and development as well as knowledge transfer. “This is a global collaboration between 3 institutions in the fields of education and health, especially in the field of nursing. Hopefully the students who will be involved in this program can gain knowledge as much as possible,” said Drg. Farichah Hanum.

The President of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, The Netherlands also expressed his gratitude for this international collaboration. D.J. Pouwels said that Undip and Hanze University of Applied Sciences students could take part in student exchange and internship programs to gain international experience. “Together, we will develop knowledge in the field of professional nursing and improve nursing practice in Indonesia and the Netherlands.
