UNDIP Students and International Students Discussed SDGs Issues in The 1st International Student Leaders Meeting 2022 FGD

Semarang (22/11) – Aiming to form sustainable leaders with sensitivity to current issues in the world, The 1st International Student Leaders Meeting 2022 by Diponegoro University (Undip) provides a forum for Undip students, domestic students and international students to discuss issues related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held on Tuesday, 22 November 2022 at the Novotel Semarang Hotel.

A total of 60 students participating in international conferences were divided into 6 groups in 6 breakout rooms. SDGs issues discussed include Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Water Management, Waste Management, Transportation, Education and Research. Student teams share their views on the issue and provide options for tackling related issues that arise.

Furthermore, the participants and student representatives from 12 countries around the world jointly declared the International Youth Declaration.

It is hoped that the conference participants’ understanding of the SDGs will increase and the participants will be able to contribute to the realization of the SDGs in their respective universities and countries of origin. (Titis – Public Relations)
