Semarang, 25 November 2022 – Diponegoro University through the Diponegoro International Office held a meeting with a delegation of DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) Scholarships administrators at the Undip International Office meeting room. The meeting which was attended by Dr. Guido Schnieders as the Director of DAAD Regional Jakarta along with a number of International Office representatives from each Faculty discussed the initiation of educational collaboration that could be carried out by DAAD with Undip. The meeting was opened with remarks by the Head of the Undip International Office, Anggun P. Siswanto, S.T., Ph.D. who stated that Undip had high hopes that the collaboration between DAAD and Undip could take place in both ways, namely through bottom-up and top-down approaches. It is not only beneficial for one party, this collaboration in terms of scholarships, research, and student exchanges is expected to benefit DAAD and all Undip academics at the Faculty, University, and Vocational School levels.
Dr. Guido Schnieders admitted that the potential for profitable cooperation between the two parties is very likely to occur. For this reason, DAAD and Undip require further discussion regarding the technical implementation of the collaboration with the hope that the initiation of this collaboration will not only become a potential but can actually be realized and carried out in a sustainable manner. This meeting was then closed with the handling of souvenirs from the Undip International Office and a group photo session with all meeting participants. (HS)
