In accordance with the direction of the Rector of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H, M.Hum., Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) Undip conducted a survey of earthquake locations in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province on Friday-Sunday (November 25-27, 2022). The Undip Peduli Cianjur team sent by LPPM Undip consists of 3 teams, namely D-DART, Community Service Volunteers (RPM), and Community Service Lecture Service Center (P2KKN).
Chairman of LPPM Prof. Dr. Jamari, S.T, M.T. and Deputy Chairperson of LPPM for Community Service Prof. Dr. Rahayu, S.H., M.Hum. officially dispatched the Undip Team consisting of dr. Abdul Mughni, M.Si. Med., Sp.B-KBD (Faculty of Medicine), Dr. dr. Hadi M.Si.Med, SpB (Faculty of Medicine), Tri Sawaliyanto, A.md. Kep (RSND Undip), Kurniawan Teguh Martono, S.T., M.T. (Head of P2KKN), Satriyo Adhy, S.Si., M.T. (Secretary of P2KKN), Sular (LPPM), and Dedi Santoso (LPPM) to carry out a survey of earthquake locations in Cianjur district on Friday (25/11).
In addition to conducting surveys, the team collaborated with Cimacan Hospital, Basarnas and volunteers to provide free medical treatment for residents affected by the earthquake in Pasir Sapi area, Sukamulya Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. According to dr. Mughni, the Undip Health Post provides health services to the community and examines 27 patients with various diseases, such as ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection), skin diseases, hypertension and so on.
Meanwhile, the D-DART Team had previously sent a Surveillance Team to the incident location to coordinate with the local Disaster Management Team who were already in the field. The Surveillance Team Coordinator is Dr. Susilo Adi Widyanto, S.T., M.T. (lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering majoring in Mechanical Engineering) accompanied by 3 (three) students namely Muhammad Fahmi Ilham Septiananda, Andre Pawa Christian Depari and Nanda Ilham Amin. On this occasion, the D-Dart Team also handed over assistance to the earthquake-affected communities in the form of basic necessities.
The activities carried out by these teams are the initial stages for further programs to be carried out by Undip in the near future. The target is to prepare a place, logistical resources, including coordination with the Regional Government and other related parties so that community service activities and Disaster Response KKN from Undip can truly benefit the local community.
According to dr. Mughni, there are several alternative locations that can be used for Disaster Response KKN and subsequent community service.
“We have also conducted survey locations including Cugenang and Sukamulya, these areas have had many victims and we will follow up Undip’s program in providing assistance to the people affected by the disaster,” he said. (Lin – Public Relations)
